And The Nominees Are: Oscar Nominations 2013



Get ready for 85th Academy Awards nominations. Yep, the speculations are over and the official version is out. Yesterday, Hollywood darling Emma Stone and the Oscar host Seth Macfarlane announced theOscars 2013 nominations for the li’l golden statuette.
And now, it’s time for some Oscar 2013 facts. We’ll be brief, we promise:-
  • Emmanuelle Riva (85 yrs.), of “Amour,” and Quvenzhané Wallis (9 yrs.), of “Beasts of The Southern Wild,” are the oldest and youngest Academy Awards nominees in the best actress categories.
  • Emmanuelle Riva will turn 86 on February 24, 2013, the same day the 85th Academy Awards ceremony will take place this year.
  • The Oscars ceremony will be hosted by Seth Macfarlane.
  • With Lincoln getting 12 nominations and Argo getting 7 nominations, it’s all about red, white and blue stars and stripes this year.
Which film will earn the highest number of awards this year? Who will be the best director? You’ve to wait till February 24 to get the answers. But for now, let the speculation begin with the official nominations.
